April 2015: New clients for quarter – Swinburne, City Uni London, Careers Australia, ACT Schools & PEPA

Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia)

Swinburne has been ranked one of the world’s top 400 universities by the prestigious 2014 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), and is home to 50,000 students. Swinburne prides itself on, ‘forming real partnerships with industry and preparing students to thrive in today’s competitive workplace’. In March 2015, after reviewing the market in an open tender for a university-wide solution, Swinburne selected InPlace to manage its nationally renowned Work Integrated Learning Program. Technical configuration is currently underway and the business deployment will begin in May with the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design, and the soon to-open School of Education, which will begin teaching live with InPlace mid-2015.

The deployment will encompass both the University and Vocational Education components.

Careers Australia (Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane, Australia)

Careers Australia is Australia’s leading private provider of Vocational Education and Training. After careful deliberation, InPlace was selected from an open tender process for management of all placements and job opportunities across 16 hubs.

Currently, this amounts to over 30 000 placements per year across various Health, Business and Trade courses, with a plan to significantly scale up while still offering a premium experience to students.

InPlace is fundamental to achieving these goals.

City University London (London, United Kingdom)

City University London is a highly-ranked institution, based out of central London. InPlace was selected from an open, worldwide tender for enterprise-wide placement management. InPlace will be deployed across seven campus’ and five schools, including School of Health SciencesNursing and MidwiferyComputer Science and Engineering and the prestigious Sir John Cass School of Business, which is second-ranked in London and world top 40.

ACT Schools (Australian Capital Territory, Australia)

The Australian Capital Territory’s Department of Education is introducing an initiative to deliver Work Experience placements across the 18 secondary schools in the territory. This will enable better student learning, and increase both student engagement and retention.

The basic requirement for placement management is similar to higher education, however there are notable differences in the workflow. InPlace’s extensive customisation and flexibility ensure that the same powerful workflows can be optimised. As such, InPlace was selected from an open tender process.

The Work Experience placements will be undertaken across years 9-12 and managed via different workflows and programs across the 18 schools. InPlace provides top-down visibility to the ACT Department of Education to provide visibility and collaboration, productivity and analysis.

Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA – Queensland, Australia)

PEPA provides Australia’s only free placements in palliative care services for practicing health professionals (2-5 days duration) and free palliative approach workshops. InPlace was selected to support PEPA in the organisation of all Palliative Care placements at Australian Health Service Providers.
